FEES Services
Crimson Therapy Services offers in-person and mobile Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) for adults experiencing swallowing difficulties, coughing or choking during meals, unexplained weight loss, recurrent pneumonia, or concerns about food and liquids entering the airway.
FEES is a specialized swallowing assessment that uses a small, flexible camera passed gently through the nose to view the throat and swallowing structures in real time. During the evaluation, the patient is provided carefully selected foods and liquids to assess swallowing safety, identify aspiration risk, and determine appropriate recommendations.
Our FEES Services Include:
- Comprehensive review of swallowing concerns and medical history
- Real-time evaluation of swallowing function
- Assessment of secretion management and airway protection
- Trials of appropriate food and liquid consistencies
- Testing of positioning and swallowing strategies when indicated
- Immediate discussion of preliminary results and recommendations
- A detailed written report provided within 24 hours
- Personalized diet, safety, and treatment recommendations
- Education for the patient, family, and caregivers
- Follow-up appointments as medically appropriate
- Virtual education and follow-up support when appropriate
- Coordination with the referring provider and care team
FEES Evaluations
Evaluations are available at our office or through our mobile service in select homes, assisted-living communities, skilled-nursing facilities, and other care settings. Mobile FEES allows patients to receive a comprehensive swallowing evaluation in a familiar environment while reducing the burden of travel.

Payment Information
FEES is offered as a self-pay service, and payment is due according to the selected payment arrangement.
Flexible payment-plan options are available for eligible clients.
We will also take insurance.
