Comprehensive Speech Therapy Services in Newnan, Georgia

At Crimson Therapy Services, we provide personalized speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing services for children and adults. Our licensed speech-language pathologists begin with a comprehensive evaluation and develop an individualized treatment plan based on each client’s strengths, needs, and goals.

We offer in-person speech therapy at our Newnan, Georgia office, teletherapy for eligible clients throughout Georgia and South Carolina, and select mobile swallowing services.

Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy

We help children develop the skills needed to communicate more confidently at home, at school, and in the community.

Pediatric services may address:
  • Delayed speech and language development
  • Difficulty understanding or following directions
  • Limited vocabulary
  • Difficulty combining words into sentences
  • Difficulty answering questions
  • Speech sound and articulation errors
  • Reduced speech intelligibility
  • Social communication differences
  • Autism-related communication needs
  • Difficulty expressing wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings

Treatment is individualized, engaging, and often play-based to support learning in a comfortable environment.

Early-Intervention Speech Therapy

Our early-intervention services support children ages three (3) and under who are not developing communication skills as expected. Therapy may focus on engagement, imitation, gestures, understanding language, requesting, making choices, learning new words, and combining words into phrases.

Our Approach:

Speech therapy cannot force or guarantee that a child will talk. Our role is to help each child develop a meaningful and reliable way to communicate. Communication may include spoken words, gestures, signs, pictures, or an AAC device.

Parents and caregivers receive practical strategies that can be used during play, meals, bath time, dressing, and other daily routines.

Speech Sound and Articulation Therapy

Articulation therapy helps children and adults produce speech sounds more clearly. Treatment may address sound substitutions, omissions, distortions, or speech patterns that make a person difficult to understand.

Therapy may focus on producing sounds correctly in:
  • Individual sounds
  • Words
  • Phrases and sentences
  • Conversations
  • Everyday communication

Receptive and Expressive Language Therapy

Receptive language refers to understanding spoken information, while expressive language refers to communicating thoughts, ideas, wants, and needs.

Language therapy may address:
  • Following directions
  • Understanding questions
  • Identifying people, objects, or actions
  • Learning and using vocabulary
  • Combining words
  • Creating complete sentences
  • Answering “who,” “what,” “where,” “when,” and “why” questions
  • Retelling events or stories
  • Participating in conversations

Autism Communication Support

We provide individualized communication support for autistic children. Therapy may focus on functional communication, language development, social interaction, self-advocacy, and the ability to communicate across different environments.

We recognize and respect all forms of communication. Our goal is not to force a child to communicate in one specific way, but to help the child communicate effectively using the methods that work best for them.

AAC Evaluations and Treatment

Augmentative and alternative communication, or AAC, includes communication methods used to support or supplement spoken language. AAC may include gestures, signs, picture boards, communication applications, or speech-generating devices.

Our AAC services may include:
  • Comprehensive AAC evaluations
  • Communication-device trials
  • Personalized device recommendations
  • Vocabulary and page customization
  • Device funding support
  • Caregiver and family training
  • School or treatment-team collaboration
  • Follow-up appointments & therapy

Using AAC does not prevent a child from developing spoken language. AAC provides an effective way to communicate while verbal speech is encouraged when appropriate.

Adult Speech and Language Therapy

We serve adults experiencing communication changes following a stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurological condition, or other medical diagnosis.

Adult speech therapy may address:
  • Aphasia
  • Difficulty finding/using words
  • Difficulty understanding language
  • Dysarthria / reduced clarity
  • Cognitive-communication needs
  • Memory & problem-solving skills
  • Functional communication for daily activities
  • Use of AAC when speech does not meet communication needs

Treatment is designed around the individual’s daily responsibilities, independence, relationships, and personal communication goals.

Swallowing Evaluations and Treatment

We evaluate and treat swallowing difficulties, also known as dysphagia. Warning signs may include coughing or choking during meals, frequent throat clearing, a wet or gurgly voice, difficulty chewing, food remaining in the mouth, prolonged mealtimes, recurring pneumonia, or unexplained weight loss.

Swallowing services may include:
  • Clinical swallowing evaluations
  • Individualized swallowing treatment
  • Food and liquid recommendations
  • Swallowing strategies & positioning
  • Patient and caregiver education
  • Referrals for additional medical testing when needed

FEES Swallow Studies

A Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing, or FEES, is an instrumental assessment that allows the speech-language pathologist to evaluate swallowing using a small, flexible camera.

During the evaluation, the clinician observes how the individual manages different foods and liquids and determines whether swallowing strategies improve safety.

Crimson Therapy Services offers:
  • In-office FEES evaluations
  • Mobile FEES services
  • Immediate preliminary results
  • Written reports within 24 hours
  • Follow-up appointments when necessary
  • Virtual patient and caregiver education

FEES is currently offered as a self-pay or insurance. Payment-plan options are available through Sunbit or Carecredit for qualifying applicants.
