A Process of Progress

When you come in for your first appointment, your therapist will start by conducting an initial assessment so they can better understand your history, concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. This will help us determine the best care and plan for your individual situation while providing you the opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of we can help you reach your mental health goals.

Once your care plan is created, ongoing sessions may focus on building coping skills, improving communication, processing emotions, strengthening relationships, and helping you make meaningful progress toward your goals.

Educational Support

School Readiness Developmental Testing

Helping families understand where their child is today and how to support what comes next.

Starting school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring questions. Is my child ready for preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, or early elementary expectations? Are there areas where they may need extra support?

Crimson Therapy Services offers school readiness developmental testing for children ages 3–7 to help families better understand their child’s early learning skills, developmental strengths, and school readiness.

Testing may assess areas such as:

  • Basic concepts
  • Early academic readiness
  • Language & communication foundations
  • Attention & participation skills
  • Pre-literacy skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Social-emotional readiness
  • Fine motor & adaptive readiness skills, when applicable

This service may be helpful if you have concerns about your child’s readiness for school, ability to keep up with early learning expectations, or need for additional support before or during the early school years.

Following testing, families receive clear feedback about their child’s strengths, areas of concern, and recommended next steps. Recommendations may include home strategies, therapy referrals, school-based support suggestions, or additional evaluation when appropriate.

If you have questions about your child’s school readiness, Crimson Therapy Services is here to help you better understand their needs and move forward with confidence.

School Readiness Developmental Testing is a cash-based service for children ages 3–7 only. This service may not be billed through insurance. Payment is due at the time of service.
